Room 641A

Don’t mind the random AT&T personnel, mostly looking to share anecdotal happenings throughout the campaign, plus more comical thoughts on issues.

Hold on, checked out Duncan Caven’s website, that’s awesome, has an about page and everything, I’ll add a photo in a bit, volunteered for roughly a year back in 2018 at rainbow kitchen myself too, remember when that pilot project was underway. Like mentioned on the home page, been coast to coast, though the family is here in Esquimalt, I have worked various aspects in the hospitality industry, very much aware of the culinary side, some experience with website design, accounting, and legal, my father is also a electrician and outside of helping with work in the shop, have a propensity to try and understand how things work, be it electronics or otherwise, that all to say enjoy studying a large range of topics/hobbies even beyond what’s listed here. I try to keep in good spirits & am often found over-caffeinated studying. Totally thought I was just going to share pictures of events well trying this whole campaign thing out & crack jokes.

More to add here shortly to explain some matters (a lot going on) I went with a screen caption from my youtube interview with Peymen Askari, and wanted to share again my late neighbor Chester’s study/work on natural flora locations for BC & Washington, I study agriculture & aquaculture by various degrees too.

Was waiting to hear back from some people for a few days, went back to studying & added a new tune. Eventually heard back & been able to sort out a lot more between the work week of Sept 14-18. Noted some unread emails, pardon haven’t added some folder types to all of my devices, if I missed any emails from the community, I’ll look to correct that shortly. Would also like to wish Darlene Rotchford & her family well, had signed up to meet & take part in the Q&A on the 23rd of Sept hosted by her.

Participated in the event begun by MLA Darlene’s Open House at the Esquimalt Rec Centre, I must set about to confirm some matters though my thoughts are with her & her family, appreciated the work of Duncan and all others who helped to continue the event, being self moderated by all the candidates on September 23, 2026. Had yet to have the time to consider our Esquimalt school board trustee candidates, many surveys & matters to review as it were, and met both Gwynn Butchart & Andrew Gage, believe further details of each candidate are hosted on a variety of sites, and searching for sd61 bc can help in finding additional material on local school topics. I enjoyed seeing all the custom posters, displays, and impromptu volunteer forms & professionally crafted table top business cards, rack cards, along with the well designed lawn signs or displayed photo’s of candidates used as props well everyone conversed on issues of the day, important to them at the event. Was a nice experience, and spoke with plenty of residents about issues important to them myself.

Wanted to write a quick comment on the venue for the candidate Q&A on Sept 27, 2026 at our local Royal Canadian Legion, hosted by the Esquimalt Chamber of Commerce. Had been to the older building located close to the new location, never got to check out the interim spot for our legion, though might get to check out our interim fire hall soon. Have had the opportunity to check out a lot of the legions on the island, a relative ran a few here I believe, family would on occasion get invited to one, much later on well living & working in down town Victoria, often hung out at the smaller location they have there in the core to play darts with an older co-work whom served. Another small detail in my banned book, well working in Oromocto New Brunswick, business was geared towards serving the troops of CFB Gagetown. We’d make everything, from morning PT breakfasts, which was all over the map, including poutine, and served meals/catering for many a wedding for our troops. Most related my time in NB to this tune.

Also wished to note Cops for Cancer is being hosted Oct 1st at our Legion, $50 cash entry & believe Esq Lions might be holding a raffle of some kind.

Really only found the instructions on loading the film from polaroid here productive… Might figure out how to turn off the flash one day, though offered Duncan a photo as well, believe that one turned out a bit better. The debate was a fair bit different from the one hosted at ESQ high school last municipal election cycle, Barb was running against an administrative doctor, I enjoyed sitting in as resident to listen then. I was sorting out a lot through much of the day, my study has been focused on engineering given Duncan’s background, I do respect the field. Not a single note I took down for the days event was focused on a minute long blurb for a vast array of topics, I am still assessing potential innovation well reading over Esquimalt documents & considering new designs for the municipal website, much of what I said I already covered in other surveys, though for a minutes consideration, one can look back & consider 50 other topical points for context & reasoning, I sorta went into it figuring I might miss something, see no reason to mill over such, appreciated trying to make something out of the opportunity presented by our chamber.

Got to speak with the president of the fire fighters association today early Oct 04, 2026 over a coffee at ERC & later checked out the open house at the interim fire hall, they hosted a bouncy castle, hot dogs & chips, well offering opportunity for family’s to let their kids have fun & learn more of the profession. To that end, my discussion on capabilities & prospects was far more meaningful then I initially considered, have more to study, but outside of better understanding their concerns, I now better understand what to focus on as it relates emergency matters here in Esquimalt & how to better balance initial considerations in other fields.

Big day. hope to update a new section here later today, though it is Oct 7th, starting at 8AM is an early voting day opportunity, down at the rec centre on 527 Fraser St noted at their gymnasium, as I am sure many other candidates are relating, a good as time as any to get out & vote if it best serves you. If you are still considering your choices, I attended two speaking events on Oct 5th & 6th with many other candidates from Esquimalt at the vote4tomorrow event had trouble initially loading for I, can also check out vote4tomorrow’s website here (Figured I spoke well there too) found the youtube link as well now. Also spoke before other municipal figures at the ProArt Alliance of Greater Victoria (1h28m to 1h33m zoom link) worth checking out the whole video, picked a tune mentioned by the speaker just after I, plus took part in an early morning I Heart Radio interview on Oct 5th as well, grateful & humble to attend each of these events, the Art venue at 510 Fort St was theme’d on addressing hurt in positive ways. Given some earlier gaffs (like near the end of my I heart radio segment), started to note my lack of public speaking experience at the other venues, well still trying to bring awareness to new aspects within the community we could try.

Right, will consider adding some links to tunes every now and again, deeply enjoy listening to records & music in general.
