I will try to update this list to include the full range of topics I actively advocate for in due course, mostly at the federal & provincial level, though some relating private organizations more local that mean a lot to the community. Much of this ties into a page titled: Recent Accounts though once that is filled in, I can offer a broader cleaner listing with less commentary of my own experiences.
This was a bonus facebook group question asked by Erica from Esquimalt community connects as it relates food access, I was able to reply to on some less recent advocacy work there: Esquimalt Community Connect Facebook Group
Though like mentioned before, set about advocacy on a host of matters, sometimes over the years I even set about such through groups I belonged to as a member, a less direct form of advocacy, meaningful discussions none the less. Some studies I appreciated & have tried to contribute through advocacy is water safety & quality, much of such comes from the works produced in earlier partnership of both Environment Canada & the EPA in the states, Environment Canada has changed over the years, and I do hope they go back to some of the more original tenants & principles they were founded on. However Roman Public works has always been a fun topic of study, finding out what guys like Appius Claudius got up to, always cheers me up, tons of amazing figures from that era, worth ones time to study.
Outside of plugging my late neighbor Chester’s work again (Trees, Shrubs & Flowers to Know in British Columbia & Washington) I have also over the year studied many aspects relating tree wood/bark, outside of say carpentry, more focused on cooking related application & dental, I appreciate the botany aspects associated with such too, though like say coding, outside of one project, haven’t directly studied the finer aspects in many years, I was only a kid when Chester was still with us, however I know he loved to share garden advise & more to anyone interested in listening in on him speak on such.
Plenty more fields still, including further safety aspects I’ve gone & advocated for, however amazing work is being done by others & I am less concerned on those aspects to some of the more present ones denoted on Recent Accounts as well other aspects I ran on.
